School Superintendent Bob Chappell proposed a $10.3 million budget for 2004-2005 that held the cost increase $200,000 under the 2003 budget, but relies on Gov. Mark Warner's embattled state budget for an 8.31 percent increase in state support.
“The Rappahannock County Public Schools’ vision," Chappell wrote in a preliminary presentation, “is to provide schools that are second to none in service to our children, the most important people in our county."
