William Lems Griffith, 92, of Boston died Feb. 14 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Dec. 16, 1911 in Pleasant Valley, Va., to the late Richard Bland Griffith and the late Lizzie Frances Griffith.

Mr. Griffith retired in 1973 from the Potomac Electric Company as a cable splicer after 40 years of service. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Griffith, two sons, Richard Lewis Griffith of Vienna and William Andrew Griffith of Georgetown, Ky., and one daughter, Dorothy Mae Bradley of Boston, Va.

Additional survivors include a brother, Claude Griffith of Aldington, Va., 14 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

A funeral service was held Feb. 17 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton with the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. Interment was in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
