The old bridge is coming out and a new bridge will be constructed in the same location. Anticipated construction time is 60 days. If all goes well, the new bridge should be open for traffic around the first week in May.
Citizens will be notified through postings in the local papers and signs at the bridge area of the upcoming closure. Detours will be posted prior to permanent closure, according toVDOT.
