to the November 3, 1917 edition of the Culpeper Star Exponent, nine men left Rappahannock County for Camp Lee on October 31, 1917. Included in this group were two Viewtown men, Stockton Brown Smith and Frank Smith, (no relation). These Viewtown men were inducted into the 80th Division-318th RegimentCompany B.
