Rufus R. Frye
Former resident
Rufus Rudolf Frye, 59, of Rochester, N. Y. died Feb. 9 at Rochester General Hospital.
He was bom May 5, 1944 in Madison, Va. to the late Forrest Hamilton Fiye and Bertha Matthews Frye.
Mr. Frye attended Scrabble School in Castleton. He worked at the Rappahannock County Co-op and drove a taxi cab until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Carlee Frye, Carroll Frye, Bruce Frye, Hamilton Frye, Hilda Banks and Muriel Roy.
Mr. Frye is survived by his siblings, Rebecca Kilby of Culpeper, Acy Frye of Spenyville, Jane Banks of Clarksville, Tenn., Lois Starks of Washington and Stoney Frye of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held Feb. 16 at Nazareth Baptist Church in Boston with the Rev. Howard R. Frye officiating.
