I am addressing issues
raised in recent editions of the Rappahannock News concerning the grant request for the Rappahannock Center for Service Learning and Nonprofit Support.
To begin, Mr. Horrock reported on the 5th of February that I received a copy of the grant request proposal “after” the Jan. 24 community brainstorming meeting at the library for Rappahannock’s nonprofits.
It is possible I misunderstood his questioning; nevertheless, it is an erroneous statement.
I received the package in the mail several days before the meeting. However, it is irrelevant when I received the grant submittal information. The language in it did not change. Mr. Tieckelmann’s excitement over the timing of my receipt of the package is only a red herring.
