A half a million dollar lawsuit has been filed against the Virginia State Police and one of its troopers stemming from an automobile collision on Route 211 in front of Hackley’s Store that claimed the life of well-known Rappahannock citizen and long-time storekeeper Emmett Graham Hackley, 85.
Attorneys for Hackley’s widow, Dorothy Zinn Hackley, who is the executor of the estate, filed the lawsuit in the Rappahannock County Circuit Court.
