The customer base of the Natural Market Place is extensive, Leyrer said.
“We have an incredibly wide variety of people that are educated and interested in natural food and natural remedies, and it’s just from one end of the spectrum to the other,” she stated. “So many people are interested in this, and we’re a good jumping-off point. Under one roof is everything you can use for your physical health.”
Leyrer looked back on her time at the corner of Diagonal and Waterloo streets, and reminisced about what she went through when she started her business.
,“I was so passionate that I was determined to iftake a go of it. I think that when I first opened up, we were on the fringe, but we're not anymore,” she said. “We are very mainstream.
“We have people come in here who say that we’ve changed their lives. People say they feel better by just coming in here. I hear that all the time.”
