Garden club trip

The Rappahannock County Garden Club invites anyone interested to join them on an all-day chartered bus trip on Oct. 20 to the U.S. Botanic Gardens and other Capitol gardens in Washington D.C. The tour will be led by the Botanic Gardens senior landscape architect and horticulturist. A $5 deposit and bag lunch are required. Water and dessert will be provided. Fall festival

Song camp

Washington’s Ki Theatre is sponsoring its 10th annual song camp Oct. 29-31. The event will be hosted by Paul Reisler, nationally known songwriter, composer, teacher, recording artist, and long-time resident of Rappahannock County. The camp kicks off with a Friday evening concert at the Theatre in Washington featuring Reisler, Jon Vezner, and Billy Jonas and also celebrates the release of Reisler's new album, "At Night the Roses Tango,” with his new band, Paul Reisler and A Thousand Questions. Songwriters at all levels are invited to register. Jhe $195 fee includes the Friday night concert, Saturday and Sunday workshops, and Saturday evening student showcase.
