In the upcoming presidential election, it is clear the most important issue is the ongoing war on terror, and more to the point, how it has been conducted by President Bush.
Since Sept. 11, 2001, we have been locked in a struggle with radical Islamic fundamentalists, an enemy whose fanaticism by far dwarfs the zealotry of the Japanese and Germans during World War II. In this war, both President Bush and Vice President Cheney have argued that their leadership is indispensable to the survival of this country. This is nonsense.
