‘Jerry’ Jenkins Woodville resident Jesse J. “Jerry” Jenkins, 80, of Woodville died Sept. 27 at Autumn Care of Madison. He was born in Rappahannock County, April 18, 1924 to the late James Haywood Jenkins and Lucille Dove Dodson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was then the ci>owner of Jenkins Orchards in Woodville. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his three children, Mary Anne McPherson of Culpeper, James R. Jenkins of Woodville, and Charles R. Jenkins of Sperryville. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, and one sister, Noa Frances Jenkins of Gordensville, along with many Other extended family friends and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Jenkins. A funeral service was held Sept. 30 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper with the Rev. John K. Burke officiating. Interment followed at Sperryville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 174, Washington, VA 22747.
