At times I actually felt sorry
for President Bush during last week’s donate. He looked stressed and tired before it began, and Kerry skillfully kept him on the defensive.
At times I have found Bush’s rhetoric persuasive, but not during the debate when his slogans and mantras seemed not only dishonest, but stale, overused and empty. Looking at those two men together, only Kerry looked presidential.
