muscle movements. The suit consists of a vest, shorts, knee pads and specially adapted shoes with hooks and large rubber bands that help tell the body how it is supposed to move.
“To us the suit feels like it weighs a thousand pounds,” said Shelly Dodson, “but to kids with cerebral palsy, it helps them feel their muscles so they are more aware of what their body is doing.”
While in Poland, Sidney spent four hours a day, six days a week, in intensive therapy. She worked diligently on all her exercises there, and brought that motivation back home with her.
