While Edwards was being released on bond in Fauquier County on Monday, the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department was preparing warrants for his arrest in Rappahannock, following an .investigation by Lt. Connie Smith.
“This is very disappointing for this to happen in this county,” Rappahannock County Sheriff Larry Sherertz said, “but we will get to the bottom of this.”
The Fauquier County Sheriffs Office served Edwards with wprrsr’t'' for seven charges placed through the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department on Tuesday, but the Fauquier County magistrate released Edwards on his own personal recognizance.
“We don’t have any control of the magistrate’s decision in another jurisdiction,” said Rappahannock County’s commonwealth attorney Peter Luke.
“I wish it had been brought before the magistrate here instead.”
