On Wednesday, April 20, 2005, from 2:40 p.m. tr 3:40 p.m., twelve students in the third grade at Wakefield Countiy Day School (WCDS) in Flint Hill, Virginia, will participate in a live wax museum to convey their knowledge of particular historical figures, with this year’s theme entitled, Salute to the Military.

All children who will be five years old by Sept. 30, 2005 may enter Kindergarten this August. Registration fur new Kindergarteners will by held at RCES on Tuesday, May 3, Wednesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 5. The hours are 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00 by appointment only. If you know of any children in Rappahannock County who will be five by September 30 (including your own), we would greatly appreciate your giving us that information so that we may contact their parents and arrange an appointment. Hearthstone
Hearthstone 5th and 6th grade students were invited to show off their musical talents last Wednesday at Wakefield Countiy Day School in Flint Hill. Students Smith Clifton, Lhani Abernathy, Andy Kiehn, Raven Durham, Dillon Freudenthal, Dane Wellemeyer, and Morgan Vaughan, members of the jazz ensemble, played a variety of pieces, led by teacher Dontez Harris. Wakefield music teacher, Evelyn Oyster, hosted a school assembly where Hearthstone students performed skillfully on trumpets, saxophones, trombones, flutes, guitars and drums.
The audience enthusiastically received them with applause while several Wakefield students expressed an eagerness to further develop their own music program. All Hearthstone students begin in
