Rabies Vaccination

Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held on Saturday, April 30 at the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), Route 639 off of Route 211 in Amissville by the landfill from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost will be $10 per pet. All proceeds will go to RAWL. Vaccinations will be available for cats and dogs from any county, pets must be at least 4 months old. Fire and Rescue Auction

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company has scheduled an auction for May 14 at 6 p.m. at the fire station. All items donated must be dean and in a sellable condition. All appliances must be in a working condition. No clothing or bedding will be accepted. For pickup call Bobbie at 937-4108 or the fire station at 937-5125.

Open House

Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Company 1 will hold an Open House and Ice Cream Social on Sunday, May 1 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the new bay building. Free ice cream will be available. A special award will be presented to the Thrift Shop at 2 p.m.

Hidden Treasures of Rappahannock

Quilts are being displayed for the first time by the Rappahannock County Quilt Club on Sunday, May 1 at the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Hall from 12 noon to 4 p.m. These quilts have been lovingly crafted, some made exclusively by hand, some made using newer techniques and technology. Come see examples of our mother and grandmothers needlework skills as well as our own vibrant new creations.
