The AmissviUe Home Demonstration Club served dinner at the AmissviUe Ruritan Club at their meeting last night which was held at the fire house. Proceeds from the dinner wiU be given to the Cancer Crusade Fund Campaign now in progress.
L. V Merrill, owner and operator of MerriU Motor Company, Washington, attended a dinner meeting of the Ford Motor Company held Monday, April 19 at the Marriot Motor Hotel in Arlington. The dinner was in celebration of the first birthday of the “Mustang” Ford’s newest addition to their automotive line. The Mustang was introduced to the public last April and nearly half a million of them have been sold.

Chris Flaven from Washington, D. C., nipped 20 seconds off last year’s winning time in the Fodderstack Classic six mile race Saturday. Flavin broke the tape in front of the court house in Washington 35 minutes and 8 seconds after the starter’s gun went off in Flint HiU.
