Open House and

Ice Cream Social

Let’s all mark our calender for Sunday, May 1 starting at 12 noon at the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company 1 for the Open House and Ice Cream Social for their celebration for the completion of the new bay building. Wow, free icecream what a treat! They may even have your favorite kind. Never know until you go. There will be a special award presented to the Thrift Shop at 2 p.m.

There will be exquisite quilts on display for the first time by the Rappahannock Quilt Club on Sunday, May 1 at the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Hall from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Go and check them out while you eating your ice cream.

The community is glad to hear that Ms. Donna Sue “Susie” Smoot is recovering at home following major surgery at Fauquier Hospital last week. We want her to know she is in our prayers.
