Gilbert expressed concerns that if the increase in meth labs are not curtailed in Shenandoah County, the trend will drift across the mountains, going into Page and Rappahannock Comities.
Time to devote
As a single, 34-year-old man, Gilbert feels he has considerable amount of time to devote to the 15th District.
“I am the right person to carry the message at the right time,” he said, further expressing a desire to fully devote himself to the needs of the citizens.
Gilbert is currently the chairman of the Republican party in Shenandoah County.
His affiliation with the party has afforded him considerable support already, bringing in $22,000 in donations toward his campaign prior to his official announcement to run in the race for the House of Representatives.
