Panther Emily Raney ran her way into first place in the 200 meter with a time of 29.8 seconds, followed by third place in the 100 meter in 14.6 seconds.
She also placed second in the triple jump with 30 feet, 6 inches and third in discus.
Rapp’s Jesse Palmer took second in the 400 meter with a personal best of 58.02 seconds while teammate Josh Makela put forth a personal best of 11:42 in the 3200 meter run, placing second in that as well as second in the 1600 meter.
Although he did not place, Steven Butler ran a personal best in the 1600 meter run in 6:37.
With the girls’ team placing well in the events entered, it was not enough to defeat Madison County who won 7142. According to Rappahannock head coach Scott Stevens, the loss came largely due to the team not having contestants in all of the events.
The boys’ score was also a team loss of 92-23.
The Rappahannock County High School Track & Field team will travel to Clarke County on April 27 at 4 p.m.
