The Rappahannock Incredibles of the Rappahannock Soccer Association faced the Culpeper Tigers Saturday, downing the Tigers, 4-3.
The Tigers came out strong in the first half, putting up a goal in the first. However, the Incredibles soon matched the score with a goal by Mimi White, the assist being made by Keelee Armor.
Culpeper edged passed the Incredibles with two more goals.
Rappahannock tied the score with another two goals by White, pulling off a “hat trick”.
Strong defense by Shelby Burnett, Felicia Stonecipher, Emily Pearcy and Allison Stuart held the Tigers at bay.
In the second half Lauren Light, Inga Fuengerlings and Eleasha Clement kept Rapp’s hope alive with numerous attempts on goal, but it was with a final goal by Danielle Boutte that put Rappahannock on top 4-3, with minutes remaining in play.
