in charges involving two girls in two counties.
A total of seven charges were listed on the arrest warrant. Three of those charges stemmed from incidents that occurred in Rappahannock County with the 16-year-old Fauquier County youth. Those charges were one count of sexual battery, one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of taking indecent liberties.
Four other charges were placed agqinst Edwards concerning incidents that occurred in Rappahannock County with a 16-year-old female from Rappahannock County.
Those charges include two counts of sexual battery and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Luke was unable to comment on any dates when Edwards will appear in the Rappahannock County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court since he had not received copies of the served warrants, he had only spoken with authorities in Fauquier County where the warrants had been served. Edwards’ background
According to Fauquier High School principal, Roger Sites, Edwards was employed for a period of time at the school.
“I can’t recall just how many years ago it was,” said Sites, “but he was hired as the JV girls’ basketball coach when Rolando Bell was here. He later applied for the head coach position when that became available, but was not hired. After that he went over to Highland.”
While at Highland School in Warrenton, Edwards began coaching the first girls’ varsity basketball team in the history of the school. He coached there for two years, then went to Wakefield Country Day School as an
