Piedmont United Way is seeking volunteers to serve on its’ Board of Directors representing Rappahannock County, according to Warren McKeen, Executive Director of the Piedmont United Way. McKeen noted that “we try to maintain a balance between the five counties by having at least four board members from each county.”
Piedmont United Way (PUW) is the local United Way serving the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock, raising money to fund 36 programs that provide services in the five counties. • Existing donors to PUW are encouraged to apply to the serve on the Board, terms are 3 years and individuals must either be residents of the county they represent or work in that county.
McKeen added “This is a working Board and its’ members participate in the fall campaign, serve on committees, participate in various community projects. It really is a great experience and opportunity for people who want to get involved in their community.” ' ■ .
