The Wakefield Country Day School Owls downed Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy (SVCA) of Stephens City, Va. on May 5, 8-0 and then continued the victory as it defeated Mt. Carmel, 11-1 on May 6.
In the game against SVCA, Katherine Russo scored three goals, followed by two each by Caitlin Hammelman and Jordan Hammelman. A third Hammelman, Taylor, added the eighth goal of the outing.
Goalie Aubree Parker recorded her seventh shutout of the season.
On Thursday, May 6, Caitlin Hammelman scored five goals against Mt. Carmel, while Russo added four goals.
The Owls are now 10-4-2 on the season with the Delaney Athletic Conference tournament opening this week.
