NOTICE OF 15th LEGISLATIVE

DISTRICT DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

The Shenandoah, Page, Rappahannock and Rockingham County Democratic Committees hereby announce that they will hold an assembled caucus at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18,2005 in the Extension Service Meeting Room in the Shenandoah County Government Center, 600 North Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia for the purpose of nominating a candidate for the 15th Legislative District of the Virginia House of Delegates. The 15th Legislative District consists of all of Shenandoah, Page and Rappahannock Counties and the Swift Run Precinct and part of the Elkton Precinct of Rockingham County.

Any person wishing to be a candidate for nomination of the office listed above must file a written Declaration of Candidacy, along with the $250 filing fee with Robert Lowerre, Chair of the Shenandoah County Democratic Committee, 403 Spring Hollow Road, Woodstock, Virginia 22664, so as to be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 13,2005. No person who has failed to comply with these pre-filing requirements may be considered for nomination.

Any person attending the caucus, before participating in the caucus, shall sign a standardized Declaration Form stating that he or she is a Democrat, believes in the principles of the Democratic Party, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the ensuing general election and is a registered voter in one of the jurisdictions for which the caucus is held. Declaration Forms must be filled out at the caucus site prior to 7:30 p.m. Doors to the caucus will be closed at that time and no person may complete a form or enter the caucus after that time, with the exception of those persons in line at that time.
