Loren Kitt is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. He joined the National Symphony in 1980 and is principal clarinetist with the orchestra. He has been a guest artist with the Chamber Music of Lincoln Center and is frequently heard in Washington at the Library of Congress. He has been professor of music at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Peabody Conservatory and, in 1997, joined the faculty of the University of Maryland.
Cellist David Hardy achieved international recognition in 1982 as the top American prizewinner at the Seventh International Ibhaikovsky Cello Competition in Moscow. A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music, he joined the National Symphony Orchestra
