On-Call Assistant

Landfill Operator

The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of on-call Assistant Landfill Operator for Rappahannock County.

Applicants must be in good health, with an ability to work an irregular schedule, including availability on nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license with minimal motor vehicle infractions must be maintained and a clear criminal records background check will be required of all applicants and will be periodically reviewed. The position has a high degree of interaction with the public, and the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically is vital to the functioning of the position.

The position is under the direct supervision of the Landfill Operator, with additional support from the County Administration Office.

The hourly salary is dependent upon qualifications. Hours will be highly variable, and will "fill-in" for full-time operators as needed.
