Cliff Waldron returns

Back by popular demand, the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community (RAAC) welcomes bluegrass legend Cliff Waldron and his band “New Shades of Grass” May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Theatre at Washington. Tickets are $12 at the door starting at 6 p.m. Call 675-3193 for details.

Amissville benefit auction

The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company has scheduled an auction for May 14 at 6 p.m. at the fire station. All items donated must be clean and in a saleable condition. Cavaliers, Courage and Coffee

The “Night Belonged to Mosby” will be presented on Saturday, May 14, at 8 p.m. by lantern light and Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. in the afternoon in the village of Atoka, four miles west of Middleburg on Route 50. The presentation features a series of short vignettes that present the life of John Singleton Mosby. Admission is free to the public.

Buffet Breakfast

A car wash to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life will be held on Sunday, May 15 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at Settle’s cars and trucks in Amissville. Come let Settle’s team clean your car, and support the effort to find a cure for cancer.

Bawkey Family Reunion

The family of William Claude and Fannie Cobb Bawkey would like to invite family and friends to their annual family reunion Sunday, May 15, at Rappahannock Park, Washington. Please bring a covered dish and join in the reunion. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
