Upcoming
budget
concerns for
the Board of
Supervisors
By Monty Tayloe
Rappahannock News Staff Writer
At their March 9 meeting, County Administrator John McCarthy began the process of preparing the supervisors for the upcoming April discussion of the county budget, going over large capital improvement projects to the county that may impact the budget in upcoming years.
Two projects stand out as expected to cost the most in the next few years, the new high school track and the construction of new county facilities near the Rappahannock National Bank. The track construction is projected by McCarthy to cost the county $200,000 next year to complete.
