St. Patty’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is Friday, March 17th and we’ve got local favorite, Andrew Acosta, back at the Blue Rock. Andrew has promised to put on a rockin’ good show to celebrate this special day. Be sure to wear your green (or maybe not!) so you don’t get pinched. As always, the music starts at 7pm and admission is FREE.

March 18: Chili Bowl fund-raiser
The Piedmont Softball Association is hosting its Fourth Annual Chili Bowl on Saturday, March 18 at the Bill Payne Auction Gallery in Amissville from 3-7 p.m., benefiting girls’ softball. Admission is $6 for adults. Children six years and under are free. Hot dogs will be on sale for non-chili fans, whoever they may be. Also, the talented Hair Cuttery girls, featuring Kim Nelson will be available for $5 hair cuts, half twists, ect. To complete this event, periodic cake walks, 50/50’s door prizes and bake sales will add to the evening’s excitement. March 18: “A Night at the
Races”
Come out and support the Rappahannock County School Sports Association on Saturday, March 18 starting at 6 p.m. with this unique fundraiser. Held at CCLC Old School House in Washington there will be actual horse races shown and narrated with all the suspense and action that you’d experience at a real race track. You must be 21years-of-age or older to attend. Pre-purchase tickets at $25:00 per person. Cash bar available throughout the evening and includes all drinks. Door prizes, food and more. The monthly meeting of RLEP will be held on the first day of Spring, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the Library. The business meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Agenda items include updates on the Alternate Energy Exposition, the Rush River Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the RLEP bylaws.
