Volunteers Lorinda Bosch, Heidi Eastham, Berkley Von Feilitzsch, Ann Georgia McCaffray, and Trista Scheuerlein set up sampling stations in the high school and elementary school cafeterias and handed out samples to students, many of whom had never tried roasted root vegetables before. Lorinda Bosch reported that most of the elementary students who were offered a sample took it, and of those children, most of them liked the vegetables. The high school students were pleased to have another food option too: many students came back to the sample table for seconds. This is a positive step
