this week, when the fourth graders presented a Living Wax Museum for their fellow students to visit. Organized by their teacher, Christine Chatelain, the students each selected an “explorer,” did research on that person, and then put together visual aides and costumes to help depict the individual they had chosen. Mrs. Chatelain, who came to Wakefield from Santa Barbara four years ago, has used this forum of a wax museum each spring to engage students in learning about famous figures in history, every year using a different “theme.” Not only do her students enjoy assuming the role of a famous person in history
