garbage. I put the bluebird house in the garage. Last year it was four little, starved baby bluebirds. This is the same result, two years in a row. Such a shame.

Careful what

you wish for

Last time, I was fussing about how dry everything was. Well, the Big Guy Upstairs has stepped in, and we are much better off this week.

The rain that began on the evening of that beautiful Easter Sunday measured 1.4 inches here at the house. Then, last weekend, and, unfortunately, just in time for the Fodderstack 10K Race, which I couldn’t make this year (1 just counted 193 runners going by the driveway), we got another 1.8 inches.

The peas didn’t come up like I hoped they would, but I now have lots of little weeds to chop, and, at least, I have something to do in the garden, when it dries out a bit.
