Obenshain’s home county of Rockingham is Virginia’s largest agricultural producer.

Mary Beth Williams, whose life has become a symbol of spring, was tragically killed in an automobile accident in May of 1997. She was 18-years-old.

One of Mary Beth Williams’ passions was the study of agriculture.

The Williams memorial fund finances scholarships for higher education, tamp attendance and other activities for the youth of Rappahannock County. As of this date there have been contributions of over $43,000.00 to the fund. Scholarships awarded since 1997 exceed $24,000.00.

Tickets for the May 6 fundraiser may be purchased at the Rappahannock County Extension Office and are $50 per couple or $25- per person.
