Red Gross instructor

(CPR, AED, and First Aid)

PREREQUISITES: You must -

• Be currently certified in American Red Cross Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid. If you are not currently certified, call the chapter to register for a course. • Be at least 17 years of age. • Hold a current Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor Training certificate or attend the F.I.T. class on May 5, 2006 • Pass the written test (minimum of 80% correct), and demonstrate to the Trainer’s satisfaction your practical skills of Adult, Child and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid. :,

The course is approximately 23 hours, and is scheduled as follows: • Thursday, May 4, 2006, 6:00 pm -9:00 pm. Challenges test. Participants will demonstrate their CPR, . AED, and First Aid skills on mannequins and must pass the written exam. There is a separate, non-refundable, ’■*. $35 payment required for the challenges.

—Candidates who pass the challenges will be given a form to fill out to register for the Instructor Course. The $165 balance of the course fee must accompany tire registration form. • Friday, May 5,2006, 6:00 -10KH) pm Fundamentals of Instructor Training. If you have taken this class within the past year, or are a current instructor for a different course, please provide proof to the chapter and subtract $25 from the course fee. (Certified school teachers can do a self-study course.) • Saturday, May 6,2006, OHM) am - 6:00 pm ,

and • Sunday, May 7,2006, IKK) pm - 8:00 pm.

All sessions will be held at the Culpeper-Madison Chapter, 146 N. Main Street in Culpeper.
