Gospelfest is

this Saturday The Scrabble School Preservation Foundation and the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will co-sponsor an afternoon of gospel singing and music on April 29, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Theatre in Washington. Featured performers include, Donnie and Cindy Carter, Bob Chappell, George Banks, Evangelist David Clanagan, Roger Rutherford, Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church Praise Team, with Nan Butler Roberts presiding. Additionally, Michael Robert Russell, son of Sperryvilie author, James Russell, and Mfa Kera of the “Black Heritage” from Germany will sing their special renditions. Refreshments will be served “under the tent”. Donations for the Scrabble School rehab and reuse project are suggested, $20 for Adults and $10 for Students, at the door. Call 540-987-8103 for
