At first, teachers Shankle and Payne thought that one or two PDA’s could help a student here or there who needed to work on math, or needed something to keep them busy when their work was finished.
But, said Shankle, there were even more benefits. “We soon learned that a PDA with a keyboard became an excellent way to encourage writing and publishing stories for all students during a regular class period,” she said.
