Flint Hill vandals

Four lids that belong to four septic tanks associated with the office building in the Flint Hill Tbwn square were discovered to have been vandalized on May 7.

The unknown vandals also did damage to a storage area in the vicinity of the building. The septic tank vandalism is the latest in a series of acts of vandalism in the Flint Hill area. In recent weeks, one of the griffins from the Griffin Tavern sign has gone missing, and the welcome signs that bookend the town have also gone missing, along with one of the signs belonging to the Flint Hill Post Office.

The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office believes that the crimes are probably the work of local juveniles. These incidents are still under investigation.

Child predator?

A resident of Battle Mountain road called the RCSO to report a suspicious incident that happened in her driveway on the evening of May 10. A man in a blue mustang pulled into her driveway, and the driver motioned for her young child to come over to the car. When the child ran to get the mother, the car pulled away. This incident is still under investigation.
