Help support building fund
Amissville United Methodist Church will be holding a yard sale, rain or shine, on Friday May 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday May 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food also available! Proceeds benefit the building fund and church furnishings.
“Proclaim the Word”
The annual “Proclaim the Word” three-day event on the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge begins May 22 at Sperryville UMC. The guest preacher is Chris Schafer, a student at Wesley Theological Seminary and a resident of Sperryville. Tuesday May 23, the Word will be proclaimed at Willis Chapel UMC (Huntly) by Rev. Sherry Waddell. Special music will be offered by the SBG’s - a group of women “Singing Blessings to God.” On Wednesday May 24, Flint Hill UMC welcomes preaching by Rev. John Pendleton and music from the Promise Land choir. All services are at 7 p.m. Contact Rev. Leah DeLong for more information (675-3370).
