As the grass thickens on the new football field, The Rappahannock County School Sports Association (RCSSA) is planning a press box and concession structure for the new track and field project.

“Ultimately what we’re trying to do now is complete the track and field complex,” said Rich Hogan, president of the RCSSA. The latest plan conceived by the Rappahannock County’s sports booster club details a two-story, 12’ x 20’, cinder block structure.

The concession stand will be housed in the lower level and the press box will be installed in the upper level.

The plan was presented by Chuck Stephenson, the project engineer, at the RCSSA’s last meeting. It was approved by the club and given verbal approval by J.D. Almond, the Rappahannock County High School Athletic Director. The plan will go before the Rappahannock County School Board next month. Hogan .believes that the project will be completed in the next six months or so.
