Establishes New
Scholarship Funds
Lord Fairfax Community College’s (LFCC) Educational Foundation has added four new scholarships to its list of available funds to assist LFCC students with their education. The scholarships will help students with tuition, books and/or fees.
The new scholarships and their qualifying criteria are as follows:
Blue Bell Foundation Scholarship - Established by the Blue Bell Foundation, this scholarship will be awarded annually to full- and/or parttime LFCC students who live in Luray. The scholarship will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. Satisfactory academic progress (minimum grade point average of 2.0) must be maintained for the recipient to receive the award for the spring semester.
The Marathon Bank Scholarship - Established by The Marathon Bank, this scholarship will be awarded annually to full- and/or part-time LFCC students enrolled in businessrelated programs. The scholarship award will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. Satisfactory academic progress (minimum grade point average of 2.0) must be maintained for the recipient to receive the award for the spring semester.
Strasburg Rotary Club Scholarship - The Strasburg Rotary Club is a service-based organization that promotes community, national and international service projects as part of Rotary International. The Strasburg Rotary Club Scholarship will be awarded annually to full- and/or parttime LFCC students. Applicants must be Strasburg High School graduates. However, if no viable Strasburg High School graduates are identified, applicants must be Shenandoah County residents. The scholarship will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters. Satisfactory academic progress (minimum grade point average of 2.8) must be maintained for the recipient to receive the award for the spring semester.
