Sperryville Pottery Clay Camp

Registration is beginning for the Sperryville Pottery’s Summer Clay Camp. Weeks are July 25-29 and August 8-12 for kids ages 5-11, and August 1-5 for Teen Throwing. The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department is seeking young ladies and young men between the ages of 1-21 to compete for the following titles: Little Mister, 1-8; Tiny Miss, 1-4; Little Miss, 5-9; Junior Miss, ID15; and Miss Honorary Fire Chief, 16-21. The Little Mister and Tiny Miss are new categories this year. Contestants will be selling tickets on the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup. The Eighth Annual Taste of Rappahannock sponsored by Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, is sure to sell out quickly. This year’s Taste will return to the Belle Meade Schoolhouse at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 9. The evening includes a reception featuring Rappahannock’s finest wineries, a live auction presenting once-in-alifetime experiences and items, and a gourmet dinner with the best food and drink that Rappahannock has to offer. Individual tickets are $150, with proceeds going to fund the many educational opportunities that enrich the lives of Rappahannock County’s youth.
