Almond also said that home games produce revenue from concessions and gate prices for the school while away games cost the school money.
“If we have to continue to travel to most of our games, it means a whole lot of extra fuel, overtime pay for the bus drivers, and a lot of spare time lost for the athletes.” Almond reiterated. “Lights are essential for the school’s games.”
Hogan agreed, “Most parents are unable to attend games unless they are held Friday night after work.”
The light project is probably the most significant yet the most difficult project to complete. Hogan roughly estimated that the lighting project would cost around $100,000.
Almond said that it would take 3-5 years before funds could be raised and building issues could be resolved.
“That’s the way things work,” said Almond who added , “hopefully some day we will have some lights that are able to show off the field that we have built.”
