the children of Rappahannock
County will be returning to school.
As we get older, memories of our
hopefully long, languid days of summer will resurface when we need to call upon those memories for a bit of refreshment.
For several children in Rappahannock, their summer memories will be filled with lots of good times.
Thanks to -the quick eyes of several local photographers, we captured some of those good times on film.
Supplemented by funding from grants, individuals, and community groups, Headwaters has organized and sponsored seven summers of enrichment activities open to all county children.
This summer was no exception.
During the week of July 10-14, seven workshops for rising 5th through 12th graders were offered. This year’s program was sponsored in part by generous grants from the Rappahannock County Lion’s Club and Target Stores.
About 30 children attended this summer’s workshops and they hailed from the Rappahannock County Public School system, ^Wakefield Country Day School, Hearthstone
