Crazed Crown Vic
On the morning of July 22, a motorcyclist phoned the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office to report that while riding eastbound on US211 in the vicinity of Washington, VA he was endangered by the driver of a Crown Victoria. According to the complainant, the driver of the Crown Victoria attempted to run him off the road. This incident remains under investigation.
D.C. DUI
On July 22, officials in Warren County contacted the RCSO to report a grey four-door sedan with D.C. plates traveling towards Rappahannock on Route 522 at a high rate of speed. Sgt. Mark Currance of the RCSO located the Vehicle and pulled over the driver, Buford Long, of Northwest Washington D.C. Currance ascertained that the 56-year-old Long was inebriated, and placed him under arrest for DUI
