about what to tne seems like an endlessly diverse cast of characters. Rappahannock is a very complicated place, filled with working stiffs, politicos, dedicated activists, hungry entrepreneurs, and farmers of all stripes, and the leftover space is stuffed with bed and breakfasts. Many Rappahannock County residents present themselves as simple benevolent retirees in the county, but background checks soon reveal that this county is brimming with people that used to run presidential campaigns, metropolitan newspapers, and massive corporations. Some of them still do. That makes for a crowded “view shed” when someone like me tries to take the temperature of the entire community.
