With little discussion, the Culpeper County Planning Commission on July 19 unanimously approved a preliminary subdivision plan for the 770-lot Clevengers Village subdivision. The move sends the plan along to the Culpeper Board of Supervisors for approval. A more detailed plan will follow, but the site plan details aspects such as housing layout and utilities. “I’ve never been in favor of it,” said Culpeper planning commission member David Lowery.
“I guess I never will be, but I’m going to vote for it. I think they’ve dotted their I’s and crossed their Ts.” The development, sponsored by Centex Homes, will stand on approximately 1,745 acres. An estimated 900,000 gallon wastewater treatment plant to service the subdivision is scheduled for completion in 2008.
