Chappell continues to boost technology improvements for the upcoming year. The state has donated $9,000 of compressed video equipment to enable Rappahannock students to take classes taught by Lord Fairfax Community College professors.
Another goal for Chappell in the upcoming year is to increase and insure access to technology for all instruction staff. He is also taking steps to increase instruction for staff members in the use of technology.
Back to Latin
Old is new again as Rappahannock Public Schools bring in a Latin Pilot Program. Due to a couple of anonymous donors, both schools will spearhead a Latin program this year. The elementary school will offer an exploratory class called “Roman Studies,” which will include Roman mythology, and an introduction to the Latin language.
The high school will offer Latin I during the second semester. The Latin program will expand to Latin II next year, if there is enough interest.
