Raised with horses
The boys have spent a great deal of time honing thenhorsemanship, competing in fox hunting matches prior to their entry in Triathlon.
“The boys have been riding horses as soon as they could ride in front of me,” said their mother Cecilia Dove.
Cecilia Dove grew up riding horses in Pennsylvania, competing in national fox hunting tournaments.
She moved to Virginia as she attended Sweet Briar College, competing in several equine competitions there as well. Dove currently breeds Scottish Deer hounds, while Dr. R. Scott Dove is a veterinarian practicing at the Companion Animal Clinic in Gainesville, Virginia.
The Doves moved inio their current home In Rappahannock County in 1987, remodeling an 80-yearold bam for their living spa^e and maintained several horse stalls within the structure. !
The Dove’s spend most pf their time raising several horses and competing in competitions throughout the East Coast. They are also heavily involved as sponsors and volunteers for the tetrathlon events.
Jenkins was also sponsored by several area businessmen including Gregory Bodoh and Associates, Patrick Allen of the Caplen Company and Seamus Right SaddlePads.
