After negotiating with Rappahannock Athletic Director J.D. Almond, Brown felt that he had found the right place to get started.
“We both put everything on the table as to what we were looking for,” he said. “We want to build a quality program to develop young talent.”
Brown has worked extensively with kids from other counties in Virginia, sending athletes in his league to top placements in national wrestling competitions. He loves wrestling because it builds common sense and integrity. “A wrestler is a mam before a man,” he said. “It’s a hard tough sport and only certain kids can do it. Wrestling also builds a good quality athlete that should be able to do good things for the school in other sports.”
